Send & Ripley Community Events - March 2008
Send and the surrounding villages have various number of events that are worth investigating. Most are listed on the diary pages but here we expand on some events in detail.
Send Scouts May Fair & Dog Show - May 5th Send Recreation Ground
The Send Scouts will again be putting on a show on the May Bank holiday. Apart from the numerous stalls, bouncy castles and May Queen, there will be a dog show and May Pole Dancing from local school children.
Community Update - Annual Parish Meeting - May 9th
Representatives from all organisations in Send are going to give brief updates on what is going on in the village. So if you want to stay in touch - come over to Lancaster Room upper rooms at 8pm on Friday May 9th.
Free Bicycle Tagging - 23 May
Come along and get your bicycles tagged for security purposes on Sunday 27 May at Send Recreation Ground between 4-8pm.
Send First School Events
The following Events are available for anybody to attend at Send First School:
Saturday 12 July - Summer Fair - This event will be a part of the 50th anniversary celebrations for the school.
Ripley Event - 19 July
Ripley Event will be held on 19 July 2008 on Ripley Green.
It will also feature the Classic Car Meet. For further details see rotary website
Send United Football Club
Matches and fixtures for all ages. For details please visit www.sendunitedfc.co.uk
Ripley Farmers Market
Held
on Ripley Green on the 2nd Saturday of each month (see Diary).
It boasts a fine array of fresh local produce including organic meat and
vegetables. Time: 9am until 1pm
