Ripley Annual Parish Meeting will be taking place on Thursday 1st May, in Ripley Village Hall at 7.30pm and as an agenda item will be bringing to the attention of Ripley residents, the concerns of many parents who did not manage to get their children into George Abbot School for September 2008.
These parents have formed a group to appeal against Surrey County Council’s decision and together with the Parish Council believe that this has wider implications for our community.
During the meeting invited speakers will be explaining the main facts about admission to secondary school and how it will affect our children in the future and there will be a chance to ask questions afterwards. Please come along to find out why we all need to help

Race for Chase - June 2008
In June Paul Ticehurst, with seven others from Send, are undertaking a bike ride from Land’s End to John O’Groats.

Be proactive and suggest sites for development in the village instead of just objecting to those put forward. Guildford Council are charged by central government to develop 350 new houses a year so by being proactive we may avoid undesirable development.
